How to Develop a Strong Chapter

Thank you for your interest in developing an Elite Business Alliance chapter. We believe a strong chapter has a few core components to make it successful for each member to feel they’re receiving value and being valued.

In your monthly alliance chapter meetings, we encourage each chapter president to:

  • Allow each member and guest to introduce themselves to each other at the start of the meeting for networking opportunities.
  • Highlight a member for five to 10 minutes at the meeting to showcase why their business provides value to the consumer and your members.
  • Invite guest speakers that will complement your chapter.
  • Host a regularly scheduled monthly meeting preferably on the same day and time each month (i.e., 4th Tuesday of the month from 11:30 am to 1 pm) for members to plan ahead.
  • Invite local politicians and city economic development speakers to your meetings to provide and inform your members of area business updates.
  • Invite City Economic Development speakers to provide area business updates.
  • Encourage a business to sponsor breakfast or lunch.
  • Establish annual award presentations.
  • Support a local nonprofit for your chapter as a way to give back the community.
  • Host additional social gatherings for members and guests to meet “outside of the office” to continue building relationships with one another.
